When God was obvious: One woman’s story of leaving a Mennonite colony behind

 All photos by Lauren Golosky

This is a photography project I just finished for my photojournalism class. I photographed a woman named Tina Wiebe, who grew up as a Mennonite, then left the community to pursue her dreams of education and travel. The first one in her community to graduate from high school, Tina is now a nurse who frequently visits Africa to help the less fortunate.

Some of these pictures will be featured in the Crow, the School of Journalism’s annual magazine.
